Pasuma, others light up Epe’s Kayokayo Festival

Fuji star, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, was among top entertainers that thrilled visitors at this year’s ‘Kayokayo Festival’, a revered cultural celebration among the Epe people of Lagos State.

The Fuji act added colour to the week-long event meant to celebrate the beginning of the new Islamic calendar and also the historic arrival of Prince Kosoko to Epe in 1851.

Traditional ruler of the community, the Olu-Epe of Epe Kingdom, Oba Shefiu Olatunji Adewale, while giving an insight into the significance of the annual festival meant to boost tourism and commercial activities in the area, said with the spate of road construction and development currently going on in Epe, the area is set to become the main relaxation and entertainment spot in Lagos and the entire South-West region.
