However, the other three defendants – Benjamin Madubugwu, Chidiebere Onwudiwe and David Nwawuisi were brought into the court by prison officials.

It will be recalled that the Nigerian Army had attacked Nnamdi Kanu's home after which the family alleged 28 people were killed, including cooks, house boys, some IPOB members and even visitors. Even Nnamdi Kanu's pet dog was not spared in the slaughter.

Since that unfortunate incident, Nnamdi Kanu has not been seen nor heard from, which is extremely rare for a man of his character, thus fanning the embers of suspicion that he may have come to some sort of harm during the Nigerian Army's raid on his home.

More recently, it has been alleged that the Nigerian Police had invaded and succeeded in planting weapons in Kanu's home, only to come out accusing Kanu of hoarding weapons which surprisingly the Army did not discover when it raided the same home some weeks back. Following this, Kanu's family say they have CCTV evidence of this invasion.

Meanwhile, the Army denies any knowledge of his whereabouts.
