Officers of the Lagos State police command arrested some masquerades after causing chaos at Elere area of Agege Lagos.
According to the police officials, the masquerades were apprehended alongside other hoodlums for robbing members of the community and also causing breach of the peace in the area.
The masquerades who were not supported by the traditional ruler in the area reportedly tried to attack the policemen during their arrest.
The masquerades and hoodlums were reportedly arrested by officers who responded to distress calls by residents of the Elere community in Agege area of the state and were arrested while robbing residents.
It was gathered that the masquerades and the other bandits had constituted themselves into a nuisance in the area and were in the habit of terrorizing and robbing the residents, especially people going to work early in the morning or returning late at night, dispossessing them of their valuables.
